What to Expect
In our first session, my goal is to get to know you and understand what has brought you to therapy. We’ll talk about the difficulties you’re currently facing and how they’re affecting your day-to-day life. I may also ask about your personal history, relationships, and any significant life experiences; both positive and challenging. These conversations help me build a fuller picture of your needs and guide us in identifying the most appropriate and effective therapeutic approach for you and your family.
When working with children, I take time to build trust and connection, using creative, play-based, and child-led approaches to help them feel comfortable and engaged. I adapt my methods based on your child’s age, needs, and preferences, whether that involves free talking, drawing, storytelling, or other expressive techniques.
Parental involvement is an important part of the process. Some children prefer having their parent present throughout the session, while older children often benefit from a brief check-in with parents at the beginning and end. If this isn’t practical, we can arrange separate parent phone calls or schedule family sessions less frequently, depending on what works best for you and your child.
Fees
Face to face and online sessions (50 minutes): £140
I also see individuals covered by medical insurance including BUPA, BUPA Global and Aviva.
Following an initial assessment session I will provide you with an estimate of the number of sessions required. I will also recommend the frequency of sessions, however, I acknowledge that everyone has different life commitments and personal circumstances so this will be discussed and agreed together
